The Soggy Prairie Boys are a five-piece string country/bluegrass band. We have been playing together since the spring of 2002. In the time since then, we have been selected to play in Q106's country pick-off at the Dry Bean, we have opened for such national acts as Jimmy Wayne, Rebecca Lynn Howard, and Sherrie Austin, and we have entertained audiences of over 20,000 at the FFA National Convention in Louisville.
In 2007 we were nominated in Q106's Madison Country Music Awards for Best Local Band, and our lead singer Kodey Feiner was nominated as Best Local Male Vocalist.
Our instruments include acoustic guitar, mandolin, upright bass, banjo, dobro, fiddle, and electric guitar. We play everything from old-time bluegrass such as Hank Williams, to new country, such as The Zac Brown Band. We put our own twist on each song using the instruments we have. We also use four-part vocal harmonies on nearly every song we sing.
We are available for hiring for anything from small private parties to large public festivals. We are versatile enough to play a classy dinner one night and a leather-clad biker rally the next. Please see our schedule, and feel free to stop by any of our public gigs.
